Thats because you are not making "Artisan" bread!

Er … not sure what you mean by “Artisan”. Sorry.

I can normally make a decent loaf (see photo for todays effort) and I’m still using the sourdough starter that I started well over six months ago.

My problem is that the only time I’ve tried introducing potatoes into bread I failed in the manner indicated!

My suspicion is that I put too much potatoes into the bread; which is why I wanted a recipe from someone other than t’Internet!

Dutto try with dehydrated potatoes, I find anything with moisture throws the percentage of wet to dry mix out the window.
I love mushroom bread, and it is mushroom time here, the biggest problem is drying the mushrooms and not eating them before they go into the bread. Mushroom chips are to die for and the smell throughout the house. Better than Hop aftershave.

Got some of this stuff recently to spray on my Corny disconnects (works like a charm) but discovered today that it also works really well to stop a loaf sticking in the tin.
You only need a tiny bit of it sprayed on a bit of kitchen paper and rubbed around the inside.

I’ve yet to test whether it also cures squeaky buffaloes.

We have a can of this stuff (though got it somewhere cheaper). A half second burst in the tin is all it needs, so I reckon this can will last us decades!

On the subject of buffalos, I'm always amazed how they are able to fly with such tiny wings.

That stuff looks really good athumb.. I'm curious as to why it needs age verified delivery though!

Planned to bake a loaf today, but while in the supermarket came across Hemp seed $8 for 200 gram. I did buy it and put 3 teaspoons into a 500 gram loaf with 2 teaspoons of Caraway seeds.
Funny story about this, some years ago I was approached by the Victorian government to open up a market for hemp. The licence at the time for dealing with hemp seed was $300. They wavered the cost of the licence and gave me for free 1.200 tonnes of Ukrainian hemp seed. I sold it within 4 days for $8 per kilo. I didn't venture further into the business because of the restrictions still in place at the time. It is ironic that today I paid $8 for 200 grams in the supermarket!

Great looking loaf

Baked in a Dutch oven, 20 mins lid on, 20 mins lid off. I love the taste of hemp, even the oil. Very nutty flavour. Massaged some oil into my wife's neck, that night she dream't she was a roach!
I used to prove mine in a basket too, but it was always a bit of a gamble whether the loaf was going to just flow everywhere once I turned it out so now I cheat and use a tin; but I'm envious of a nice free-standing loaf :-)

I was using a tin when doing 1,000 gram mixes but it was taking its toll on the Kitchen Aid, already stuffed one bowl. Don't want to stuff the machine.
