Brand New Corny Keg

I probably know the popular consensus on this but when purchasing a brand new keg, is there a need to clean it then sanitise or would you go straight to the sanitiser

In my humble one, if it's brand spanking then prob a rinse through (to get any dust out) will prob suffice before sanitising as normal.

Wipe a kitchen towel around the inside. If it comes out with grease on it then you'll need to degrease before use. Otherwise just swish around your favourite non-bleach sanitiser.

+1 most steel items come with a coating for transporting i would degrease first
