Hi all

Can anyone help with my question:- I am currently brewing larger from a kit and would like to know if after the first fermentation phase can I syphon into demi jonhs and then keep syphoning until no sediment and then bottle.

Cheers

Dont think you can get rid od the sediment due to the adding of sugar for the bottling process. You will always get a small amount. Trick is to use the shoulder of the bottle to stop the sediment from getting into the glass.

You can syphon to suitably sanitised demijohns, but you will only need to rack once and you will find that the yeast will quickly fall out of suspension :thumb:
Do not forget however that to achieve carbonation in the bottle you will need some yeast in suspension to act on the priming sugar that you will add :)

as I am so thifty can you use bottle caps more than once if you have taken them off carely in the first place.

Cheers
