Hi I have just finished bottling inaugural brew, 38l of a directors clone. It should have been 46l but must have gone wrong on the calculations. Come to think about it i did wonder how I managed an ABV of 5.2% instead of the 4.8% i expected. Anyway here are photos of the beauties ready to go in the cupboard to condition.

Just noticed the clear bottle well i will keep it in the dark and drink that one first.

Now ready for a pale ale next week I think.

Thanks everyone for the support and help.

Cheers

Excellent work. That's a pretty sight!

I always use at least one clear bottle in each batch so I can easily watch the clearing/settling process.

Thanks for the interest so quickly, i must post more brew porn.

It took two of us about 2 hrs. Unfortunately as I brew in my workshop and have to drive I was only able to sample a little mouthful but does taste good.

It was an extract brew and since i bought the extract in bulk it has cost me about 40p a pint. However i plan on doing a pale ale to use up the 9kg of extract i have left, then i will go all grain with a stout probably late July.

Great excuse phettebs for the use of clear bottles, I think I will go with that one.

I am looking forward to sampling next weekend.

Thanks once again

Picture Framer. Not the best bit of joinery as the joinery lads in the unit next door to me said " picture framing is only 2 dimensional"

Good work :thumb: I've just bottled up 43 bottles (21.5 litres) of roggenbier from secondary and that was enough hassle for me :)

Having a clear bottle is nice because you can see how it is clearing without opening one. Maybe that is a drawback though ;)

I did have a helper which does help as you can get a production line going.

I should have put one in a plastic bottle to test carbonation but i didn't. I haven't put the heater on in the cabinet so i don't no how well they will have carbonated with out opening one. Any sugestions?
