Bottling Question

Hi Folks

I am currently brewing a Thomas Coopers Brewmaster Irish Stout, I have left it in my FV for 15days at the moment, I was planning on bottling yesterday but ran out of hours in the day.

The question is: is it going to be detremental to my brew to leave it in the FV until next Saturday or Sunday?

It'll be fine - plenty of brewers on here leave their beer in the FV for three weeks :thumb:

Has anyone primed using Dark Mascavado sugar in a stout?
 
The general consensus is that the priming sugar doesn't add much of a taste because you use so little. Go for it.

What you could try for the third week in the FV is moving it into the cold. That's what I always do. It starts to clear.

Thanks winelight, I have already moved my FV into the scullary, the temp has dropped from about 20 to 13 as this area is not heated. I'll leave it there this week and bottle over the weekend. I'm just going to use the carbonation drops that came with the original kit - is this strategy ok for a stout?

Its fine... :thumb: but when your carbonation drops have run out, don't bother replacing them....Use ordinary household granulated suger.. 3-5 gms per litre. (a cooks half teaspoon.)
