Anyone find that sometimes this method is less back breaking !! ?
 
Yeah wand is your best bet by far.. Have used a jug when things for whatever reason call for it but it can be messy and less consistent.

The wand leaves the perfect headspace when you extract it
 
Sounds like a recipe for oxidisation!

Yeah I know where ya coming from , but I top up bottles one by one after I’ve mainly filled up all the others

by which time any excitement in bottle has gone away !
 
I just use the tap now but I did fill my five litre mini kegs using a jug it’s not ideal but it did work.
How long does the beer keep in the mini keg? I've done it a few times but think I may have damaged the bungs so lose pressure

Sorry should have being clearer by mini keg I mean the dark farm style stainless steel mini kegs rather than the more traditional mini kegs.
