gonna use bottles with some cascade IPA ive made, Question is if i sterilise the bottles friday and put them on my bottle tree will it be ok to bottle sat morning. :drink:

I'm sure some purists here will disagree but I would say that should be alright. Obviously it would be best to sterilise and then use them straight away but people have been making beer for centuries and I'm sure their sterilisation techniques weren't top notch! One night in the safety of your home shouldn't pick up too much nastiness?

My first batch I sterilised my bottles when I started my brew and then put them back in a box in my loft with the lids on for a week and that turned out just fine...haven't done that since though so maybe I was just lucky...?

***DISCLAIMER!!!!***

Don't blame me though if your beer gets some nasty infection and turns into ectoplasm and opens an inter dimensional door to realms unknown!

I'd suggest take 'em off the bottle tree after they've drained and leave them stood with a sheet or two of clingfilm over the whole lot and a couple of tea towels over the clingfilm so it stays put, should stop anything getting inside 'em and be OK :thumb: hopefully

Sterilise the branches of the tree at the same time as you do the bottles then you should have no issues. I've not had a problem doing it this way yet.

I take my tree apart and give it a good clean in the bath. I then give it a dunk in a bucket of solution and rinse it off as I put it together. I then sterilise the bottles (immediately after) and whack them on it carrying the full assy up into the loft for the next day.

Doing it all in the one go would be a pain lol.
