Hi,

I've bottled up my second brew recently, priming with 1tsp of glucose per 1lt bottle.

After 5 days in the warm they don't feel carbonated. I didn't gently shake them when I first bottled until the sugar had disappeared from the bottom, but now I'm worried it didn't properly mix.

Should I give them all a good shake and leave them? Is there anything else I can do?

I wouldnt bother shaking, that wont help. You just need to give the yeast a little more time to work their magic. What have you bottled in?

My last lot was flat when I brought them up from 'The Den', I'd botttled just before we went away for a few days and it had been very cold in there, brought them up to the house and left 'em in the warm for a week and they were off and ready :thumb: Just moved 'em back out into storage

It still cold where they're stored, so I keep topping up a supply of a dozen bottles in the house so they're not too cold :thumb:

I shook a few up and then moved them to a warmer place. I think I'll leave for a few days and then move into the garage.

As Robsan says, not point in shaking them up. Back into the warm and then back to the cold and leave them 3-4 weeks at least. :thumb:

Thanks for your comments guys. I think the radiator I have put them near has been going off in the day...switched the heating onto "always on" and hopefully this will keep more of a constant temp and get them primed.

I'll give them till Sunday then whack them in the garage.
