Don't usually put my bottled ales in the fridge, but did a couple of summer brews just in case we got some hot weather - Coopers Mexican Cerveza and Canadian Blonde. Both cleared well after initial bottling and settling, but then clouded up when I put them in the fridge: any idea why this is happening? It's happened to them all, and they were all very clear, and have been bottled for some time (3 months), so would have thought the yeast had long died off. They taste good though :D just don't quite look the part :?

It's known as 'chill haze' darrellm and the Cerveza in particular happened to me, one of the better informed on here will explain the mechanics of it ;)

Tell yourself it's wheat beer :thumb: fine to drink though ;)

its proteins in the beer m8, take one out and let it come to room temp and it should clear again, it wont make any difference to the taste its just something that happens ,if i have got this right its a left over from the fermenting process i think .

Thanks both, that explains it. Ands as you say, tastest fine, I've given a few of the Canadian Blondes to friends and they loved it.

Interestingly, I got given a commercial live ale in a bottle today, reading the small print on the back it says that putting it in the fridge may affect it clearing, not noticed this before.

if you chilled your beer down to0.c and left it a few days and threw it through a 10 micron then a 3 micron then a 0.4 micron filter it wouldnt chill up any more. however itd taste sh!te....... :D live with it its harmless. if the beers coloidally stable itll drop in a few days anyway at fridge temps........ if you want to wait that long......
