Hi all,

I bottled my St.Peters Ruby Red 5 days ago. I put one in a clear bottle to keep an eye on it and i have noticed a fair amount of sediment settling. Is this normal? just wondering if it will spoil.

I bottled my St Peter's Ruby Red around the same time (5th Sept). I also put a few in clear bottles (not to drink, more to check on the sediment etc). Mine's relatively clear, but I've noticed some sediment at the bottom. About 10 days in the primary fermentation at around 22 deg.

Let me know when you crack open the first one and what you think!

Cheers

Geoff

hmmm mines still quite cloudy.... maybe need to bring it back into the warmth for a few more days.

i am going to be as patient as i can with this as not to disappoint myself but will let you know how it goes.

Just a quick update. I've been sampling my Ruby Red and it's fantastic. Although I think I'll need to slow down a bit and leave some for the long stretch as apparently, they get better over time.

How are you getting on with yours Falconi? Have you tried it yet?

Cheers

Geoff

The sedement is perfectly normal :thumb: It needs to be in the warm for a week once bottled or kegged, then somewhere cool for at least 2 weeks
