Bottled beer problem!

Hi,
I'm new here and a first time brewer! My girlfriend got me a coopers homebrew kit for Christmas. I brewed it (no problems) and now it has been bottled for a week. When I was checking the bottles earlier I noticed what appears to be hairs? In the beer, all 40 bottles (see attached photo)
All the bottles were well washed out before bottling.
Does anyone have any idea what it could be?

To me that looks like a pediococcus infection ( aptly called 'ropey beer'). Have you tasted it?

I tasted after brewing, but I was told to leave it in bottles for 2 weeks.

I would open one to test the flavour and the reaction of the beer when opening.
You don't want bottle bombs.

Exactly what I was thinking - Did you sterilise everything before brewing, and sterilise the bottles and syphon tube etc.

I have seen that posted before but only on wine..

Sadly I think its infected.

Taste it to see if its worth keeping.

Any bottle which has that beer in is going to need a full steralisation done to it.

Hi, yes everything was cleaned with sterilising fluid before brewing and the bottles were also cleaned with sterilising fluid just before bottling.
