Hi all its me again, just bottled some of my buzzbee came out at 6.5% (need to thin it down a little next time) just wondering how long it will take to get some fizz in it iv put it in garage at the mo which is at around 10 c temp just in case bottles explode

Around 7-14 days in the warm should see carbonation develop and then a week for every 10 Gravity points in the OG (1.040 beer gets 4 weeks) in the cold.

Tip - fill a couple of PET bottles with some of the beer, as time progresses you can tell how carbonation is developing by how soft(*) the PET bottles feel ;)

(*) I would have said How hard the PET bottle feels . . . but I know that some members minds don't even make it to the gutter

One thing that you did miss out is that it is common practice to take the odd "quality assurance" sample just to see how its coming on. I often start this process with a half pint directly from the fermenter when bottling and them impatience drives me to try one every week or so.
