So after cleaning up my gear and testing the boiler it's broke. Tbh it's old and I could probably do with a new one as it was used when I got it.

So any recommendations for a boiler suitable for 23litres/40 pints?

Are these buffalo boilers any good? I seen them mentioned a few times here and there.

What's your budget? I have an old Burco boiler and a Brupak one, and both were good. However, since switching to a Buffalo 3kW induction hob and a stainless pot I wouldn't go back. It's fast, efficient and seriously easy to clean. You're looking at around £100 for the hob (never buy one at full price; they're often on offer via catering wholesalers) and a stainless pot can be anything from around £60 for a pot up to £150-185 for an SS Brewtech pice of quality brew-specific kit.

Gas in a no and I was just looking for something to plug in the wall tbh.

Is it big enough for 23l brew though? Been reading there's no much space in case of over boil?

I really like my 30L Burco and have managed to squeeze 25L brews out of it. To help with this I use Brupaks antifoam in the boil. A tiny drop of it completely dissipates the surface tension of the boiling wort and allows you boil about 1cm away from the rim of the kettle.

Making my own. Just sourced a 32l brew bin from The Range, got my element in and just need the run off valve thing now.

Peco boiler is cheap and works well for me.

Well I did have a leak an hour ago, i've tweaked the rim on the element so hopefully it pulls on the seal more. Seems to have worked so far, got it on now to see if it's okay. Just going to get a boil going, hopefully no more leaks.

If it all falls through then i'll have a look at the Peco ones.

I've also been to a local catering company and they have some of those induction things in but including a Buffalo one but they want £70 plus vat and on top of that it's a used one.

They also have Buffalo 30l boilers in for £85ish plus vat on offer from £150 something brand new.

It was my Birthday this week but I went for one of these based on recommendations of others in a Facebook group.

Well no leaks, i've fitted the tap today. I boiled about 25ish litres last night and left it in overnight and alls good. Justy waiting for the grain to arrive now.

How long did you boil for?
How much water is left?
Good time to check your boil off rate prior to brewing to give you an estimate of your loss.

I'll worry about brewing tomorrow, I'm doing the St Austell kit that arrived this morning. Everything is sterilized, water ready to go and my batch spare calculations done. Might even stream my brew session on Twitch irl channel.
