Got some recipes for Blackberry Brandy from a lady I bought some D/Js off. I haven't tried them yet, but looks like they will be good so I'll try and get some on the go soon!
Recipe 1:
500ml Brandy
500ml Vodka
1.5 lbs Sugar
1.5 lbs Blackberries
Cloves
Cinnamon
Recipe 2:
1lb Blackberry
1lb Sugar
1 pint Brandy
1 pinch Cinnamon
The lady swore by Recipe 1, although I think I'd be inclined to call it Blackberry Liqueur than Blackberry Brandy (what with half of it being vodka!) - but I suppose that Bramble Brandy rolls of the tongue rather sweetly :)
I think the cloves and cinnamon are optional but most likely give it a nice flavour.
The same method for both recipes - mix all ingredients together in clean container, something like a Kilner jar I guess (or old gin bottles etc...) Shake thoroughly everyday then after 2 -3 months decant into bottles of choice, and use up all that boozy fruit in a pudding! Or, you could leave the fruit in the jars for as long as you want - usually people do this if they're giving it as a gift, but for suppin' I'd recommend getting rid of the fruit.
Try and leave for as long as possible! Although I know everyone here breaks this rule with their homebrew so just enjoy!
