Ive had my Black Pearl in the FV since the 18/06/2012, just over 10 days now.

I checked the Gravity tonight anf got a reading of 1020, the SG was 1040.

I used the two cans
500g of drak spray malt
100g of trecle.

Is the brew just taking its time or could it be stuck?
I did a Newkie Brown brew at the same time and this is down to 1010 already.

10 days is a pretty short window to decide if your fermentation is stuck or not. Depending on the yeast strain, how much yeast was pitched, if it was re-hydrated or not, and how much you oxygenated the wort prior to pitching it may be working slowly, or not have enough resources to finish the job. Only time will tell.

My breakfast oatmeal stout is OG 1.035 and due to a cool fermentation temps at 61* it takes about 17 days to get to 1.008.
