Hi new to this forum. Im on my 3rd batch of beer making a john bull kit going well and started making wine. what I really want to know is how to make mead in a demi john. A friend suggested it and as I had the demi johns and he just dropped of some airlocks off seemed like a good time. any suggestions.
Also how would I use dextrose rather than sugar in a kit?

Mead: dissolve some honey in some warmed water, add nutrient and yeast and owt else you fancy, chuck in demi to about 4/5 full, when initial manic phase passes top up leave until done. Many many recipes both here and at gotmead.com, use the fourm search facilities.
Tends to take a while to age
