...Hambleton Bard and Woodfordes!!

Bottling the Chinook dry hopped Hambleton Bard Better Brew IPA on Saturday, took the customary little glass from the brightest beer in the middle of the run for a wee taste, passed it to SWMBO (my generally beer un-loving SWMBO)...

Loved it!

Sunday and brewing a Brewferm Grand Cru - well you can't get a brew on without a beer in your hand can you? So I thought, seeing as the Wherry bottled a couple of weeks ago had cleared beautifully I would try a "green" bottle. Encouraged straight away by the pour, crystal clear, all the yeast firmly glued to the bottom of the bottle, stonking tight foamy head (maybe a touch too much tight foamy head if the truth be told). I was so impressed with the look of my pint I paraded it in front of SWMBO.

"Give that here..."
*slurp*
"...oooh! I really like that!"...

So, SWMBO is starting to get into home made beer. This can only mean one thing. More leeway to increase brewing ops when in the new house!

My sincerest thanks to Hambleton Bard and Woodfordes.   :D  :drunk: :drink:

Nah, she won't drink that much, certainly not more than I intend to increase capacity by!

Looks like you picked a good one there mate!

I briefly discussed buying a house with the wife earlier & subtly dropped into the conversation that I would have to make a difficult decision when we buy a house, choosing between using the garage for a car or for a brewery, I even suggested that to make life easier I could have a shed in the garden that I could brew in, she agreed to all of it!! - Just wish I had recorded the conversation....

Schoolboy error there mate!

Any witnesses maybe?

I purposely picked this one (the house, the the SWMBO!) cos it's got a mahoosive shed already wired with light and sockets! All I need is a couple of extractor fans for the steam and I'm off and running...

(ok, there were other factors too, like its quite nice and has enough space for us all and the cat...)
