A friendly warning to everyone, especially the inexperienced.

I received my latest parcel of brewing goodies today and a bottle of CRS had broken in transit.
As a bit of a newbie to AG I don't really know what the contituent(s) of CRS is or are; but I can you it has left some lovely etchings on my wooden kitchen worktop
On the plus side, my hands are nice and clean

I have two CRS bottle sized rings on my worksurface in the kitchen - told the Mrs i have no idea what it is........said it must have been her nailvarnish remover or something :?

Oh Feck, forgot you'd read that

CRS is a mixture of Hydrochloric and Sulphuric acids . . . it is not something you really want spread over worktops, or ideally using as hand cleaner . . . while not concentrated it is more than adequate to do some serious damage. . . . Peracetic is worse however
