What is the best type of brown sugar to use for brewing a hoppy bitter type beer?

dermera is as dark as i would go, for a bitter,
lighter might be better -depends on what u want

The darker brown sugars will obviously impart flavour charicteristics to the beer. This can be very pleasent imo, as long as you ballence the quantaties. I have added 350g of dark brown sugar to 23 L of wort, with good results, add at the end of the boil so you dont boil off the delicate flavour.
