There's a homebrew shop on Oldham Road in Newton Heath, no idea what it's like.

You could visit Spitting Feathers in Bolton, though most home-brew shops are a similar price.

I know this is going off topic, but just went to their website and wtf is the need to be telling me what my IP adress and hostname all about ? Someone found a plugin and thought it looks cool, their config of the Account link is wrong as well. 1/10 for the website.

Did you wait for the scrolling banner just about the Hello Guest message.

Never saw a Hello Guest Message or a scrolling Banner :hmm: Just the Home page with the contents list on the left. Had a click around looked at the shop photos and product ratings :wha:

Yep, different people spot different things :D Having done a selection of different websites it is one of those things that irritates me when people slap in stuff which have no bearing on the site as a whole, off the shelf templates with virtually no customisation to fit the use of the site is another. But this is just IMHO :D

I know the guy who owns the shop so I'll bring it to his attention.

Going off topic, a (small) shop can't compete with on-line prices, however we should support local HBS

LHBS can be a place for home brewers to meet exchange info etc (I wouldn't have joined the local Wine and Beer circle if I hadn't been chatting to staff in my LHBS.) The point I'm trying to make is that LHBS are good for the Homebrewing scene in the sense that they promote home brewing, and (can) be integral to local home brewing communities.
