Has anyone got a recipe for a Berliner Kinder pilsner, or something in the same ilk? :hmm:

Are you asking for Berliner Kindl . . . . . Which is a soured Weisse Bier . . . Not heard of Kinder

You are right about the name, but I seem to recall a pilsner type quality and I think that Aldi sold it. Doesn't say much about my taste buds...but then again it could be my memory

If it was Kindl Weisse you would remember it, a brewer of my acquaintance likened it to Battery Acid . . . but I don't think he liked sour beers

Great stuff if you're feeling a bit flat

If and when I come across this beer again I will be taking a closer look at it and continuing this string....that is if I can remember where Aldi is!

Kinder bier is coke and orange juice for kids!
Maibok was a speciality beer in Berlin when i was there - they made it like the wiezen beers but the buried it underground for a few months and dug it up in may - hence the name.
Blew yer head off as i remember with loads of sediment in the stuff too!! Yummy!

The Beer in question is currently back in stock in Aldi and it is Berliner kindl Pils - it really does exist!! though has not been at the store since I first tasted it several months ago which led me to ask about anyone with cloning ideas for this style. It's not a classic, but it appealled to my poor taste buds at the time (and I'll review this tonight ).Cheers.

I know this an old post, but for what it's worth...

Berliner kindl Pils is the draft beer of choice in the Berlin area, along with schultheiss and a few others. They do a wheat beer too called Berliner Kindl Weiss which you can obviously drink on it's own or some people mix it with fruit syrup where it's called Berliner weiss mit süß( sweets Weiss beer - usually a female drink, but remarkably tasty:b ).
