HELP! I bought some bentonite and tried to mix it as directed but couldn't get rid of a lot of the lumps, in a paddy I chucked the lot into the Orange WOW straight away and then read another article and found that I should have let it stand for 24 hours before adding it, have I ruined my first gallon of WOW?

Relax!

As the wine starts up its ‘lava lamp effect’ it becomes self-stirring, so the lumps may break up.

Worst thing that can happen is that you're going to be left with a dollop of clay in the bottom of your DJ after racking.

Phew thanks, what is the easiest way of liquidizing bentonite, it's a stubborn mule of a thing even in a mini liquidizer that I own

Solved the problem, I took a little longer with a mini liquidizer and it came out fine, even remembered to do one yesterday ready for another batch today, I'm learning
