Id like to change all the copper pipe in my system to steel. This will mean that I'll need to form a coil for the HE and bend sections for the associated pipework. I will make a former for the coil.
The pipe will be 10mm, and I'd like anyone with any experience, to let me know any tips they may have :thumb:

I can get the 10mm pipe in various wall thickness but have a couple of concerns.

Will thin walled pipe (0.2mm) be likely to ripple on bending and is thicker walled pipe bendable at all :hmm:

Thanks in advance

Talk to Lancashire Fittings but if you want custom stuff it will cost you. Thin wall is a pita to bend, and thicker wall really needs a mechanical pipe bender . . . . A coil really needs a machine . . . Have you thought about asking Hamstead Homebrew (0121 358 6800) about the stainless coil they have as a chiller? IIRC its 15mm don't know about the coil length

Cheers Aleman ;)
I was having a nosey on Lancs fittings last night. I think it's going to cost me either way, just how much I don't know.
It's the final piece of the system so I don't mind paying
