Bench Capper

I am struggling to get my new bench Capper to work. This is the one I have bought http://www.themaltmiller.co.uk/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=558 . I am using the 26mm fitting with 26mm caps, but it does not fix the caps properly. They can be popped off with your fingers as the crimped edge of the cap is not getting pressed into the bottle. I have tried numerous different bottles. Any ideas what I'm missing?

Try lowering it a notch.

First time I used mine I capped several bottles initially and thought to myself they really weren't on properly, didn't realise you need to press quite a bit harder to get the crown fully over the cap so that it crimps the edge of the cap into the rim of the bottle. Was a bit nervous of breaking something.

Once I'd got used to it though no problem.
