Hey,

So I brewed my first batch of Ale a while back, it went very, very well, second attempt not so well, but it was my own recipe and a brave move after only one kit brew under my belt.
It would have been good but I got distracted and diluted it too much; it was the IPA equivalent of the squash at a primary school disco; It still drinks well but it's kind of like bad ***, you're still doing it but it's a little disappointing.

I'm not a price lead brewer, I don't brew because "it's 50p a pint", I brew because I like beer and I like brewing. I like accuracy and technicality so I'll spend what I can afford to achieve as close to perfection within my budget.
I'd love to go all grain but I'm still learning the ropes so I'm keeping it as simple as I dare at present, but still my equipment collection increases in proportion with the speed my missus is moving me out to the sheds, although thankfully she likes ale too so there is some leeway.

I'm brewing DME & hops kits; I couldn't face some of the tinned kits that had the same instructions as a pot noodle.

I've just started getting into yeast and have access to lab equipment to make proper starters, and potentially to start propagating.

Alongside brewing beer I take great pleasure in making labels for it, I've added the first one below.

I don't usually hang out in forums, post much or make introductions; but you all seem like a sound bunch and I've scoured this site to answer many questions I've had before I pitched the yeast in my first brew.

I can't promise to be around much, contribute as much as I take but I'm glad you're here, so cheers everyone. That's my intro.
