Hi
On my 5th brew now and have decided to brew one for my daughter who has asked for a hint of floral and in particular using hibiscus.
Have googled around and am coming up with using a very pale malt or wheat.
Does anyone have any experience on this and which malt would work? Also which types of hops?
My intention would be to add the dried flower at the end of fermentation.
Thanks
Bob

If you want the floral flavour to come through I would keep things very light and simple, maybe a blond ale. Say 20 IBU I think wheat and pilsner malt would work well in a beer like this but I wouldn't use a wheat beer yeast as the yeast flavour/aroma could overwhelm the floral taste.

Generally I'm not a fan of US-05/WLP001 as I like my yeast to have more character but for something like this it could work well.
