Beer pump

Should be possible. You can attach the beer engine to the cask and simply make sure there is not pressure in the cask. You would really need a check valve to prevent the beer running back into the cask.

Obviously you need to replace the beer that you use with either air or CO2. If you allow air in then the cask will have to be drunk quite quickly - a few days tops. If you get a cask breather, it will put a layer of CO2 on top of the beer as it is drawn off.

Cask breathers are pricy - You can get away with using a standard regulator instead if you set it to only a couple of PSI and then get a sparkler that has a spring closer. The idea being that the small positive pressure that the reg gives is not enough to push beer out through the pump. Be sure to disconnect the beer engine when not in use in case anything goes wrong and it empties the keg on the carpet
