The brew I put in the KK on the first of June does not want to come out.

I thought I would see how it was doing yesterday. I tried to pour some into a glass, I got a huge rush of air, but no beer.
So I topped up with CO2 same thing, just less of a rush.

I am assuming the float has come adrift, it’s the only thing O can think of. does anybody have any thoughts?

on the up side, the aroma was wonderful!

Assuming it’s a top tap KK. Is the beer level above the tap? If not, try tipping the KK forward so beer level covers tap and see what happens when you pour. Sometimes the seal on the float pipe connector into the tap can leak allowing gas into the tap.

I’ll try that.
the tap operates in reverse to the others also.

I replaced the taps with new ones, this one works the other way around than the others. I didn’t think it would matter since it still has only two positions, open and close.

I tried that. The beer does come out if I tilt it.
so are you saying the tube from the back of the tap is either leaking or has come adrift?

It’s unlikely that the tube has become disconnected from the float or tap connector. More likely the tap connector has loosened or the o-ring is a loose fit I’m guessing.

Noticed in your earlier post that you changed the tap for a different one. It may be the float connection is loose in the new tap? When I changed my taps I moved to the sparkler type that have a better connection for the float tube.

Thanks for that.
I propose to order a new float assembly, sterilise it, gas the KK a bit, slowly open the top, connect the new float and re seal.
My thinking being that the C02 being heavier than air will prevent most of the new air from mixing with the beer.
any thoughts on that anybody.
