Hey Fellas, once my 19l Corny keg is empty I rinse it out with bleach solution then also run some bleach solution through the beer line, a relatively weak solution in truth. when i come to add a beer line to a keg of new beer i make up some sanitising solution in a spare keg pressure it up and then run maybe 5 litres of sanitising solution through the line / tap. When I'm ready to drink a beer I run off maybe a pint and discard before sampling the beer. Question is this I'm always in a quandary when making up the sanitising solution. As i only need 5 litres or so, do i make up 5 litres then use more CO2 from my gas cylinder to pressure it up or do I make loads of sanitising solution say 15 litres and use less CO2 but much more sanitising powder ? - sodium percarbonate in my case, which i believe can't be kept and used beyond an hour or so ??
