Hi there I'm new to this forum!

I have been making beer (from kits) for a few years now with varying degrees of success. Whenever I have used a kit that requires sugar to be added (i.e a single can of hopped malt and a bag of sugar) I have been disappointed with the results. Whenever I have used a kit with two cans of malt I have been very impressed.

If I bought two of these cheaper kits and used them both without sugar would that work? Are they roughly the same inside the can? Can the cheap kit be improved with different sugar?

All advice very welcome.

Cheers,

Neil

The kits are pre hopped so two cans would be more hoppy. You could use spray malt as 31 said or tins of malt extract, but you might as well go extract brewing if you do that as you will get better results than from a single can kit.
