Anyone used this with good results?

I've ordered a few sachets, and hoping to rack off into my keg, clean up the FV and then rack back into the FV along with the beer brite before finally kegging again for the conditioning stage. Are there cheaper alternatives which will do the same job?

I've used finers in beer before. It's not really required for light simple beers but for darker beers it'll clean them up much better.

There are very cheap options. The best one is gravity and time - it will clear up on its own eventually. Second - pitch the right amount of yeast using a calculator, and it'll clean up better. Third - egg shells. Wash them, dry them in the oven on a low temp for a few hours and crush them to a very fine powder - that part is VERY important. They contain calcium carbonate which will clear your beer up and reduce the acidity too - doing that will mean slightly less sharp alcohol flavours early on too. Add 1tsp for 5 gallons - you will probably have to rack off after a week or so.
