Are there any styles of beer that could be brewed now, bottled and by ready to be drunk on Christmas day.

I'm a BIAB'er so an AG recipe suggestions would be good. I'm not after a christmassy style brew, just something that will be nice in time for the big day?

Thanks in advance people! :thumb:

Any low Og brew may be ready in time, pales even more so now.
1 or 2 malts and single or two hopped will be a winner

I find dark malty beers are ready quickly. Go for inoffensive, smooth flavours, and it'll be highly drinkable in no time at all. Avoid sharp sugars and intense hops...and do a 90 min boil to drive off more DMS.

So would the Guinness Extra Stout in GW's book by a good one?

og 1042, 29g of Target Hops in a 19l brew length abv 3.8%

I generally like to go with a spiced dark mild.

Nice and malty, relatively low alcohol content and spiced with cinnamon sticks and whole cloves.

How much cinnamon and cloves do you use for 23l brew? When are they added? The boil or the fermenter?

I add spices to the boil.

I usually like to add two cinnamon sticks.

I add one stick during the last 20 minutes of the boil and the other one during the final 10 minutes of the boil.

For the cloves I usually use 8-10 whole cloves. As was the case with the cinnamon sticks, I add half of the cloves at 20-minutes and half at 10-minutes before the end of the boil.

The aroma is amazing. It smells of...Christmas.

you could also brew a witbier (barley/wheat/orange pell and corriander ) or a hef weizen (40% pale ale and 60% wheat) 2 weeks in fv and 2 weeks in bottle and ready to drink .
