Does anyone know the law on inviting a few friends around to sample homebrew?
If for example people brought bottles with them to a BBQ that they had brewed themselves - can they share them?
What if someone doesn't bring any and offers to pay for the next set of ingredients? Can they legally have any? Can they legally donate towards the next batch?
How does anyone judge brewing competitions if it is illegal to drink something someone else has made?

I would rather get this right than fall foul of the law, in writing or inferred.

This has been discussed before and if i remember right home brew is for your own consumption so legally you cannot give it away, its a good job no one is policing this or our bottle swap forum could get us into a load of grief. ;)
