I'll possibly answer my own question here!
As the title says, I bought a bazooka hop filter a couple of years ago when I first started AG and the first time I used it it blocked so it went straight in the bin.
I then moved to a hop spider which has been brilliant but it means a bit of juggling with my IC so I've built a hop filter from stainless braid. The same as the bazooka but longer with a T piece at the tap so it goes round the inside of my boiler. My reasoning here being that perhaps I'd run off a bit quick and the hops had compacted on the bazooka. Now my dilemma, my system was gravity run and mostly still is apart from the boiler which is now drained with a solar pump. I haven't used it yet as I've just moved everything into my shed. Is the pump going to give me a blocked filter again like the bazooka or are they not that powerful? It's 12v and wired to a dimmer switch.
Hopefully someone out there has had roughly the same problems or perhaps the only way I'll find out is to try it out.
I have seen a relief valve affair on here used to regulate the flow from a pump which wouldn't be to hard to replicate but I don't want to make work for myself, I was hoping to get a brew on this week.
Bit of a long winded question, sorry
