Batch priming

I was just reading another thread there where someone mentioned batch priming, I wash and sterilise 41 bottles then add 1 half teaspoon of sugar to each bottle, do you mean to tell me I could have been batch priming this whole time, presumably I would add just the same amount of sugar as I would normally (41 half teaspoons) or do I need to add some more

Yes, you have been doing it the hard way, :) same amount of sugar and you can weigh it instead of messing around with teaspoons
