Hi All,

After some advice I am Going to be priming my first brew soon (American IPA) from a kit.

I am looking to batch prime and rack in bottles. What sugar would you recommend i use and is there a good app / website to calculate quantities?

I am brewing 25 liters.

I use the priming calculator. Link at the top of the page. I tend to aim for 2.0 vols of CO2.
Just try it out and calculate the quantity on the day once you have it off the trub as you will end up with less than 25L in bottles, sometimes a lot less.

I use standard table sugar in a pan with about a glass of water, heat to sterilise and dissolve, then mix in without splashing - like quiet paddling in a canoe.

If you haven't got a bottling wand yet then I would say get one.
