Bass P2 Imperial Stout (W/S Brewery re-issue)

I have just aquired a 12 bottle case of these beauties!

As of yet what it tastes like but I will do later :drink:

& no I am not giving any away (Muddy) they are all mine they cost me what I would usually get 24 bottles of White Sheild for!

But a little bird tells me that they are serving it from cask in the new National Brewery Centre in Burton!

Come on Cuss, we don't even know if Mrs. Tony likes that sort of thing. Anyway, the intention was that it should be a bottle of your home brewed beer, wine or cider.


At 3.8% it's not even in the same league, but thanks UP, you've reminded me that I've got a bottle of Waen Brewery Blackberry Stout to sample before the blackberries come into season. That's a 3BBL micro brewery we pass en-route to my in-laws, I bought a few bottles to test last time we went and (as it's bottle conditioned) I still have one which I'd left down the cellar to clear again after its car journey.

Anyway it's not old enough to drink yet the brewery has only been open a few months :wha: hasn't it?

its plenty old enough its been cask conditioned for a long time before bottling.

The brewery is actually the oldest microbrewery in the uk nick. well over 100years old :wha: you should go have a look, its a good tour and only just up the road.

I think you need to up your mash tun and false bottom business then, employ a few poles & keep her in the fashion she's accustomed to,instead of sending her out slaving :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: only joking.

Tried a bottle of the P2 last night, It was a stunning drink, a lot less subtle than Tony's but very similar(Yours is the winner up to now Tony), a 500ml bottle was not enough though, It could defo be a session IPS :shock: if I really get the taste for it it could be dangerous, but I couldn't really appreciate it cos I had two kids and the wife bending my ear when i was sampling it, so might have to try another tonight when they all gone to bed

 

That's what I like about you Shane, a devotee to the cause!
