hi has anyone tried barley drops/ boiled sweets as a replacement for cabonation drops , i am sure they are pretty much the same thing . Here is the ingredients list :

Ingredients:
Glucose Syrup (59%), Sugar, Natural Flavourings: Oil of Lemon, Colouring: Sunset Yellow.

Why not just use sugar?

I find 6-7g per little dissolved into a little hot water then put it in the bottom of a clean sterilized spare FV, siphon your beer onto it carefully and stir with a spoon then bottle.

I dunnno i am only bottlin about 6 bottles of a 23litre batch the rest is goin to be force carbed in a corney. I bought a pack of glucose as well how much woudl one need for a grosch bottle?

primed a few bottles about 7 days ago , opened 2 and still fairly flat does glucoes take longer to prime generally ?

You need to leave for 7 days at the same temp as you fermented at ie 18-21c then leave for at least another week at room temp. The longer you leave it the better IMHO.
