The Young Bull, Old Bull Story

Let's run down into the valley and begin production on a few of those heffers..." The old bull smiles and turns to the young bull and advises, "Let us walk down young man and not just service a few but the whole herd!" The old bull wasn't quite as clever as the old cockerel then. When the farmer got a young rooster to replace the old one, the old cockerel started goading the young whippersnapper, claiming he hadn't the experience to service the ladies. The young cockerel became increasingly annoyed, so challenged his predecessor to a competition. "And to show how much better I am, I'll give you a head start," the young one said.

So the old rooster starts legging it down to where the hens are, with the young rooster not far behind - until the farmer sees and shoots the young cockerel dead, complaining that "that's the fifth cockerel that's turned out to be gay."

So the old rooster gets all the hens to himself.
