Hello all
I use a large auto syphon and it's always sucked air in use which is not good. Even a new seal didn't fix it. My solution was to tip some beer down the tube on top of the seal. This sort of worked and I put up with it. Before bottling earlier I was reassembling the syphon and had a look at the seal. I decided to try to flare it out a bit with my finger with a view to creating a better seal with the wall of the syphon tube. The plunger proved a little awkward to relocate but this solved the issue completely!
