Hi guys just started brewing my first 25 litre batch of cider when I put the lid on and airlock on it seemed to have sucked some of the water in. Has anyone got any tips to prevent this for when I come to check the fg reading
Thanks

Don't overfill the airlock you only need a small amount of water (or whatever you use) for it to do its job.

when you take the lid off remove the airlock before you remove it, when you put the lid on always put the airlock on after the lid is sealed.

I didn't put as much in as I did when I don't my wine it's less than half full.
Perfect thank you I will do this next time
Thanks for your help

+1 for @Chippy_Tea, also fill your airlock with a no rinse solution if you can so if it goes into the FV it won't have a chance of infecting it if it does get sucked in.
