Donald Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen has said that he and the President arranged hush money payments to influence the 2016 election. Cohen admitted in court to making the payments, which he said were at the direction of the candidate. These cases relate to cash paid to porn star Stormy Daniels and ex-Playboy model Karen McDougal who both claim to have had affairs with Mr Trump. Almost simultaneously, the President's former campaign manager Paul Manafort was found guilty of eight financial crimes, but these were unrelated to the election. From Washington, Sky's Cordelia Lynch reports.

I loved Trump's explanation about the payments made on his behalf to the porn stars. From "I know nothing." to ...

"They were NOT paid out of Campaign Funds; I paid them out of my personal account."

I'll bet that cheered up his wife no end! clapa clapa

David do you think Hilary would have done a better job as most Brits thought they were both awful and I guess the Americans decided Trump was the lesser awful.

Trump says the money didn't come out of campaign funds, erm that's ok then.

They interviewed one of his supporters and asked what she thought about the president lying about the payments she said it's ok because he is only human.

I seriously hope so!

I get the feeling though that the US will not impreach him during his presidency. It doesn't look good for a country to get rid of it's leader whilst they are in office. I suspect he'll either resign under huge pressure(less likely given his own massive ego and sense of self importance), or he'll muddle through his term and then spend the next 10 years being pursued through the courts for all the misedemeanours and illegal **** he did...

Trump I am sure IS human! The thing living on the top of his head however, that's a different matter entirely.... Invasion of the mind controlling head sitters from outer space!!!! Just have a look at some of the most powerful men in the US right now, and some of the craziest figures in UK politics and business too thinking about it... They ALL have mind controlling head sitters from outer space!!!!!! ashock1

On a more serious note, who the heck knows? I could never have predicted the nutter getting elected in the first place, let alone whether he'll somehow stay in power, or even avoid serving prison time as a traitor or something..... It's the US, they really are unpredictable.

You're asking me?
We don't mention the president by name in our house.
I honestly thought she was a little too intense (not to be confused with passionate which is a trait I can appreciate) but, yes, easily.
One of many problems is that there was a good independent party candidate to vote for but if you do that, your vote becomes a throw-away so one is left with choosing the lesser of two evils.
This is not an enjoyable subject for me, painful even, to discuss.

It looks like we both suffer the same problem, here its either Labour or Conservative non of the other parties have a cat in hells chance of winning an election so the only way they can take some power is to get into bed with another party and that didn't end too well fairly recently.
