Has anyone made apple and blackberry cider yet? Could i chase the fruit through juicer? And how long does it take to ferment?

I think you might want to heat the blackberries.. I was actually thinking teh same thing because I picked aload of blackberries wild but they can and some did have fruit fly grubs in.. we washed them twice and I froze them now but if I make cider they will be boiled

Apples are pretty tough and will knacker a juicer a lot quicker than you want.

If you want to use blackberries that way they wuld be fine, but you might be better off using the turbo cider method, get some apple and blackberry (or just apple and add juiced blackburies) and do it that way, there are plenty of turbo cider guides on here, just use whatever juice you want!

If you have lots of apples to spare, you may want to find someone with proper set up, here in Wales there's a good cider and perry group whereby you give the fruit, take away some juice to ferment and give the rest to them, much easier and gives more juice.

For flavoured TC I'm thinking of the various fruit syrups mentioned on here, either add them as a fermentable to the FV or prime the bottles with them for carbonation and flavour. Fruit fly grubs in my pint does sound a little off putting.
