i wanna make a 100% pure cider, i wanna make 100% pure cider and i also want it to be propper potant lol what appels should i use, there is a dissused orchard behind my parents house that i am eying up for whan the appels are ripe. so this means that there is gunna be a endless supply of free appels :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap: i have no idea what "breeed" of appels they are will it be a issue or will it be all fair game lol
 
Don't worry yet TK, you are right in my field!
You are looking to Sep/Nov before panic sets in.
Cider from apples is well worth the extra effort.
 
If you've got the capacity for 100's of gallons you're very lucky!
The "battery acid" problem is easily sorted.
 
Check out this site http://www.cider.org.uk/frameset.htm for mixes of apples (both the 'West Country' and SE blends).

But (if they are not 'West Country' cider apples) it may be worth considering using the juice for apple wine to produce a much higher value product just for the cost of some sugar and no more effort.
