Hey guys

I got an Apollo Snub Nose the other day.

The PRV's are confusing me. Shouldn't I have got a red one (which I believe is 35psi) and why do I have 2 blue ones?

According to the video, the blue is 10psi, and purple is 15psi. Aren't the white ones much higher and meant for stainless steel kegs?

Perhaps @borischarlton knows the answer as that's where I bought it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Says 35 PSI max so I would want the PRV to blow before that.

Red is 35 so use the next size down maybe.

Definitely not the white if it’s for a corni type keg.

Thanks @borischarlton

And this is why I won't shop anywhere else! 🥰
Ok, the definitive answer is:-

The Apollo snub nose should be supplied with the following PRV's:

White (25 Psi) PRV
Purple (15 Psi) PRV
Blue (10 Psi) PRV

Looks like you got an extra blue one.

I think it quite likely that the video pre dates the launch and the specs have changed. I will update the product page as well.

I got the apollo a few weeks back . Mine came 1 blue , 1 white , 1 puple .

Think mine came with a red? but got it from Europe.

As an aside anyone any tips for using the dry hop port? I’ve either had blockage problems using a funeral lot of spillage outside using a cut off water bottle top

Based on the older snub nose, my recommendation for using the dry hop port is don't!

Nope don't worry I won't be. Last time I put loose dry hops in it was too astringent, so won't ever be doing that again lol
Good to know. Did you cold crash?

I’ve only used it twice and the seconfd time I cold crashed for two days after after dry hopping loose for 3 days. it was a hazy pale ale I had brewed 5 times before to same spec but for some reason it came out super astringent. All the others came out fine.

I thought it might be the cold crash as opposed to dry hooping loose as I’ve had no problems doing that in my SS brewbucket
