Anyone use sodastreams to carb?

With what I've read it appears carbing anything other then water can make a mess, just wondering if anyone uses sodastreams to carb. I'm thinking of using it to carb my water when making alcoholic coke.

Yes, but open the SodaStream slowly and in short bursts so it doesn't fizz over, otherwise it'll make a BIG mess of your kitchen
