In that case probably worth trying, as it seems a typical mid range kit. Is the sugar included? The standard Magnum has had a favorable review compared with Beaverdale. It's a 1.7 kg kit requiring added sugar. Personally I'd say good for white, but far too lightweight for a decent red, and probably relatively low in alcohol.
The usual difference between the low and mid range kits from the same company is the inclusion of sugar and a significantly higher proportion of grape juice concentrate, including some of the variety it claims to emulate. However, the alcoholic strength is usually the same. I don't think it is possible to produce a finished wine above 10% abv in 7 days.
