Hi guys i have a wilko gold ipa kit from wilko with yeast and hop pellets
i had it a while and ive lost the instructions....
has anyone got the same they can send me as not sure how much water to add how many days to ferment before bottling and when to put the hop pellets in

any advise would be great

many thanks

mark

Is it a single can? What are you adding to it?
I'd do...
Stand can in hot water to soften malt, tip into sterilised fv,rinse can with hot water, add other fermentables and a couple of litres of hot water. Thrash it up! Add cold water to 23 litres...look at your temp strip and try to get it near to 20 Celsius,if you do,take OG reading then pitch yeast, add lid and airlock, leave for about 14 days. Take FG reading..if it's around 1.010...add dry hops, leave for a few days. Take another FG to see if it's done...

Ok mate yeah its a single can so you think not to add the hop pellets till after 14 days

All i was going to add was brewing sugar not sure if i have to add any spray malt or anything else

Ok thanks ive herd to buy another yeast and not to use the one in the kit is there any truth in this ?

A bit...what size pkt is it? There has been a bit if history with some kit yeasts failing to fully ferment a brew..with the results being a stuck fermentation. It'll probably be fine

Its a first gold ipa brew kit 1.5kg
So would you say just go with the kit yeast :-)

Lol so 4 days or 10 and whats cold crashing

Cold crashing means putting the FV somewhere cold so that the gunk and hops can settle in the FV. I put mine on the concrete floor in the garage as it's pretty cold at the moment. In the summer, I pop it in my brew fridge to cool it. I really wouldn't add hops at four days as they're probably for flavouring. Ten days is much more sensible to get the benefit of all the flavours.

Ok then so i will add at 10 day would i just open the fv and throw them in or stir

You can just throw them in but as an alternative you could make a hop tea. Put your hop pellets in a jug and add water at about 80°C and let them sit for a while then just pop them in the FV. A hop tea is said to be better for aroma and flavour.
