Just remember who was responsible for coming up with the Big Bang theory, not the TV series (which is totally believable) but the proposal that the universe as we perceive it was spontaneously created from nowt. Perhaps that's the fifth force?

It’s a well-known fact that pretty much all facts turn out to be wrong down the line 😉
The stuff my kids learn at Primary school didn't exist when I went to school in the 80s/90s

ANyway I watched a video the other day and it turns out the earth isn;t a ball and we live on a giant mud and ocean pizza with a magnet underneath it

Is this some kind of global stir plate scenario?

In all seriousness I saw a video where the guy said "well if the earth was round I wouldn't need to drive from Edinburgh to London I would sit in a ball, roll down the earth and just use brakes"... to a round of applause :laugh8: :laugh8:

One of the funniest putdowns was when a flat earther said to a non believer if the earth was round the airline pilot would have to keep pointing the planes nose down, his answer was -

The earth isn't the size of a peach. :laugh8:

It's always exciting to discover Quantum Physicists have discovered new even more potent mind bending drugs.

It's either that or the Universe enjoys taking the pi ss out of them

Well..I don't know much about stuff but I recon physics as we see it on earth is just that...on earth. There's probably places we'll never know about where the laws of physics (captain) do not apply to what we currently know.
Highly illogical.

I have a collection of them in different colours, which I keep in a pickle jar at the back of my garage next to my Higg's Boson, my first edition copy of Dave Lines "Big Book of Brewing" and my fragment of the True Cross.
After SHMBO and I moved into an old property recently we found a box at the back of an outbuilding labelled, "Dark Matter".
Too heavy to pick up, so there must be a lot of it in there. I wonder if the original owner or anyone else is looking for it?
Interestingly it's all tied up with a whole lot of string (theoretically enough to hold it all together), which was being played with by a local's (who we find is called Schrodinger) cat, which had a name collar on saying "Charm".
Apparently he has litter siblings named: Up, Down, Strange, Top, and Bottom.
Maybe the box belongs to the same person as the collection above including pieces of the True Cross?

Apologies for all that, but SHWMBO'd is a joint Maths/Physics graduate and teacher of many years, and some of it has rubbed off on me.

I wouldn't mind betting there's someone out there preparing a Facebook meme or leaving a comment on the daily mail or express websites saying 'share if you think this money should be given to the NHS, not a load of scientists with nothing better to do!'

Don't they believe the £350 Mil. a week Boris said he would find down the back of the Brexit Bonus sofa enough for the NHS?
Oops, wrong thread.
Feel free to move this.
