The difference with this one is I have a locol Pub Landlord comimg round to see how it's done.
He's also paid for 1/2 the apple juice!

24ltrs Lifestyle Apple Juice from concentrate, unsweetened (Cash & carry).
Yeast culture from TC made 2nd Oct 2009, The original yeast was "Tom Caxton dried" from a kit bought 29 Sep 1985.

Not worth taking pics unless anybody wants them, will post data figs later.

Sorry BB, didn't explaine myself very well.
The 1985 yeast used in the Oct 09 TC was still in it's original packet (Dried).
The yeast being used today is a culture from the Oct 09 TC that has been kept in the freezer!

Hi EV,

Frozen yeast? I thought freezing generally fractured the cell walls rendering it non-viable. You obviously seem to have success with it? Suppose it keeps a long time?

When I used to be a scientist and froze cells in liquid nitrogen, we had to treat with DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide) which apparently did something to preserve the cell wall integrity. Wouldn't be happy puttin that in my yeast and nor do I have access to it anyway.

Let us know, (maybe theres a post on it?) I might give it a try rather than using the fridge, next to the cheese. ;)
